About Echo Leaf Studios

A Studio Built Different

Founded by entertainment industry veterans who saw a gap in the market. We build original animated fiction, audio storytelling, and illustrated books—then distribute across Patreon, Twitch, and Audible where audiences actually live. Creator equity isn't a perk. It's the foundation.

Production, Publishing & Partnership

Develop

We create original animated series, podcasts, and illustrated books in-house. From concept to final delivery, we control the quality and the vision.

Partner

We collaborate with writers, animators, and audio producers who have stories that refuse easy answers. You bring the vision. We bring production, distribution, and a structure where creators own equity.

Distribute

Patreon for early access and community. Twitch for live production and behind-the-scenes. Audible for audio releases. We meet audiences where they already are.

Everyone Owns a Piece of the Pie

Traditional studios buy your IP and pay you a salary. We do something different. Every creator who works with Echo Leaf—whether in-house or partnered—receives equity in the projects they help build.

This means when a story succeeds, the people who made it succeed alongside it. No complicated accounting. No waiting for back-end points that never materialize. Just clear ownership, transparent reporting, and shared upside.

We're building Echo Leaf to be a sustainable home for adult-oriented storytelling. Not a content mill. Not a vanity project. A real business that treats creators like partners and audiences like adults.

Our first releases drop in 2026. By 2027, we aim to be the destination for creators who want to tell complex, funny, human stories—and for audiences who are tired of being talked down to.

Our Journey

The Spark

The Story That Wouldn't Wait

Kelly Daugherty, former entertainment executive who produced live events and experiences for millions at major venues worldwide, had spent years in the industry. But she had a story of her own—The Night You Were Conceived, a children's book about the birds and the bees that approached a difficult conversation with humor and honesty. When she set out to self-publish, her market research revealed a creative gap: adult animation and audio fiction with substance were being overlooked by traditional studios. She decided to go ten toes in and build the studio that could tell these stories right.

2024

The Foundation

Kelly assembled a team of entertainment industry veterans. Khoja Rahimi, creator of Brix & Gus and Animals, Inc., joined as a founding creative partner—bringing over a decade of startup, GTM, and business development experience, including building and scaling a digital comic book company (Infinite World Comics), multiple Web3 development firms (Icon Network), and work with major security and safety firms. Rachel, with her background producing shows and events for Universal and Walt Disney, brought deep expertise in creative development and production. Together they built Echo Leaf's foundation—legal, financial, and creative infrastructure designed for creator equity from day one.

2025

The Build

All nine episodes of Brix & Gus Season 1 written and in pre-production. Ask Aunt Kelly developed as a companion podcast. The Night You Were Conceived evolved from concept to illustrated book. First external creator partnerships signed with equity structures in place. The studio model proved viable: in-house development, creator partnerships, and multi-platform distribution.

2026

The Launch

Four stories. One studio. Ready to prove that adult animation can be profound, that audio fiction can be cinematic, and that illustrated books can tackle real conversations. First releases on Patreon, Twitch, and Audible—meeting audiences where they already spend their time.

2027

The Scale

Target: 1M monthly readers/listeners. 20 projects in development across animation, audio, and illustrated books. 100,000 registered community members. Echo Leaf becomes the destination for creators who want ownership and audiences who want stories that cost something.

2028 & Beyond

The Future

We don't know exactly what comes next. That's the point. We're building a structure that can adapt, grow, and welcome new voices. The goal isn't to become a massive corporation. It's to become a sustainable home for stories that matter—and the creators who tell them.
